It looks like 3D technology just keeps getting better and better, especially this year. In fact, many critics have stated that the main reason for the resurgence of 3D movies, as well as 3D technology, is the billion dollars worth of success that was acquired by last year’s blockbuster Avatar. At present, aside from the 3D HDTVs being manufactured in different brands, even Nintendo has released their own 3D portable gaming consoles. Basically, it is, indeed, true that 3D technology is one of the best money spinners for any kind of company.
Despite the fact that Apple has only recently released their iPads for global distribution, they now have a patent application that is intended for a head-mounted display apparatus for retaining a portable electronic device with display. This kind of technology was actually filed back in August of year 2008, but only reached perfection this year, 2010.
It is through such wearable display, that the public can now enjoy the streaming 3D content despite coming from a pocketable device, particularly a kind of iPod or the world-famous iPhone.
When such 3D video glasses are used in conjunction with a highly integrated camera, the glasses become capable of recognizing any head movement so that you do not even have to use your hands just to navigate the device. It is only through such invention by Apple that the public can now get to experience stereoscopic 3D imaging while walking in the malls or while eating in restaurants.
Despite the fact that the iPad, to date, still remains as a sensation all over the world, it seems like Apple still has no plan to cease innovating and take a hike. These 3D video glasses prove that Apple is certainly serious in venturing into the untouched leagues of 3D technology. Although it seemed like an impossible mission of a concept at first, Apple, as always, was able to pull it off.
It is only with Apple that the people can get to experience the latest technologies, especially with regards to portable devices. In consequential order, Apple gave the world different versions or upgrades of the iPod, the iPhone, which is being widely used today, the iTouch, which is basically a developed version of the iPod, only that it has touch screen technology, and the iPad, the world’s latest Apple sensation that even Hollywood celebrities are huge fans of.
Like as if those were not enough, they now have the 3D video glasses that the people can take with them anywhere. All they have to do is to plug the glasses into their iPod, iTouch, iPhone or iPad, and they can now enjoy 3D imaging even if they are in the Earth’s most remote areas. And, as the icing on the cake, this device can actually be navigated only with the use of random head movements. This means that you do not even have to use your hands in trying to control or figure out what Apple’s new 3D video glasses have to offer.
