3D Movies Glasses

3D glasses are not exactly new, especially today, as 3D technology is constantly developing day by day. In fact, you may have even had them when you were still a kid through your ViewMaster. The ViewMaster displayed all of the Disney characters, especially the most famous ones, in full 3D. It allowed its owners or viewers to look at two relatively similar pictures, only that they were taken from acutely different view points. This way, it tricks your brain into looking at only one 3D image.

Seeing 3D

In order for you to be able to see 3D images, each eye must be looking at pictures that are slightly different with each other. In real life, this is done when the eyes are spaced slightly apart so that they are provided with a slightly different view.

How Do They Work?

3D movies glasses makes stereoscopic motion possible, as it allows the right component of a certain composite image, usually colored red, to be superposed with the left component in a different color, usually blue. This superposing results into the production of a three-dimensional image. So far, it is only when viewing through such colored filters can 3D images be enjoyed. The mode of presenting 3D images you are probably most familiar with is the red and blue lenses that are held together by paper frames.

The Binocular System

This kind of system, the binocular system, largely depends on the fact that the human eyes are normally and naturally spaced approximately two inches apart, or five centimeters. This is why each and every eye gets to see the world from slightly different views, despite the fact that they are looking at the exact same thing. The brain is just so complex and amazing that it uses the slight difference in perspective in order to calculate distance. This way, the brain is able to correlate the images that the eyes are seeing. The best way of experiencing the binocular vision system is looking through a ViewMaster.

Watching a 3D movie without the 3D movies glasses is actually pretty strange. Aside from the fact that it would not be as enjoyable or entertaining as it should be, you also probably would have a hard time trying to figure out the image that is being portrayed in its 3D make up.

Majority of today’s 3D movies glasses are colored red and cyan, or sometimes red and blue or red and green. No matter what color they have, they will surely be able to separate the two slightly different images and your brain will still be able to correlate the two different perspectives to one another. Now, go dodge that meteor!

They are the tools responsible for making it seem like the scene you are watching is right in front of you. The objects are flying out of the screen and careening into our direction, wherever you are located. Creepy characters could be reaching out their hands to grab you. Without the glasses on, you will not be able to experience this wonderful 3D feeling. However, with 3D movies glasses on, you feel like as if you are definitely part of the action.
